00:02 so quickly here at 3ABN, 00:04 but we want to thank you for taking the time 00:06 to tune in today. 00:07 And we hope that we have encouraged you 00:09 to think of music in a different way 00:12 because we live in a society 00:13 where music happens all around us 00:15 whether we participate 00:16 or whether we don't participate. 00:18 But the kind of music 00:19 that we have been talking about today 00:20 is music that has its origin, 00:23 not just in the type of instruments 00:26 or the way we sing a song 00:27 but in transforming the singer, 00:30 as well as those who listen to the songs. 00:31 And I want to thank Pastor David Schmidt 00:33 for coming here today. 00:35 Any parting words, what can you encourage 00:38 one of our viewers and our listeners today 00:41 with as far as music 00:43 and how it has changed your life? 00:45 Well, one of the songs that we sung 00:47 a number of times over the years is called 00:49 "Majesty and Glory of Your Name," 00:51 And myself and others that I've talked to 00:53 in the chorus, 00:54 it was several years before I could sing that song 00:56 all the way through 00:57 without getting emotional and choking up 00:59 'cause it talks about God's glory, His handiwork, 01:01 the stars that He makes and all. 01:03 And it just... 01:05 You realize I am singing to the creator of the universe. 01:07 Amen. 01:08 I'm one of 80 or 90 guys 01:10 singing to the creator of the universe, 01:11 and it's an incredible experience 01:13 to do that. 01:14 The other thing that I've experienced 01:15 from our work of the chorus, 01:17 it reminded me that God doesn't need superstars... 01:20 That's right. 01:21 But He does need His people who are willing 01:23 and people who are willing 01:24 to not just shuffle along with a little bit. 01:26 People give in their best, whatever their best is, 01:29 that's what I think He wants. 01:30 Okay, Praise God. 01:31 We don't have stars, but we do have guys 01:33 who are willing to give their best, 01:34 and when we do that, 01:35 He does remarkable things with that. 01:37 He can provide the star power. 01:39 Good. 01:40 Ten seconds. 01:42 God's love. 01:43 Everything we sing is about God loving us 01:46 in spite of who we are and what we are. 01:47 Wow! And, Paul. 01:49 Gives me a sense of belonging and meaning, a brotherhood. 01:53 And I love music, I love singing, 01:54 I love praising God. 01:56 That's right. 01:57 And if you keep on singing, 01:58 one day you're going to find a wonderful wife. 02:00 We know God is going to lead the person your way. 02:02 We like to tease Paul with that. 02:04 But we want to thank you for taking the time 02:06 to tune in today to be encouraged. 02:08 Continue praying for us as we seek to do everything 02:11 to the glory and honor of the Lord. 02:13 Until we see you again, may the Lord bless you. |
