00:01 - Wow. Where has the time gone? [laughter]
00:03 It's just coming to a close. What are some 00:04 final thoughts that you have? - Well, you know, 00:07 it's burning in my heart to reach the unreached, 00:10 and it starts... Jesus says, "Start here in Judea; 00:13 go to Samaria and to the ends of the earth." 00:16 My big challenge to people would be, who has God 00:19 put in your path? Your own grandkid at home, 00:22 a work colleague, a neighbor across the 00:25 street... Who is that person of peace around 00:27 you, and who has God put close to you? - Yes. 00:31 - Whether it's to help a foreign mission like 00:33 ours or another one, or is it to just reach 00:38 across, and "How can I bring my grandkid back 00:41 to church?" - Yeah. Yeah. How would you recommend 00:45 somebody go about finding the calling that God's placed 00:48 on their life? - Well, God in my case revealed 00:51 it step by step-slowly. It didn't happen immediately, 00:55 but I kept praying over about a two/three-year 01:00 period, "What do you want me to do, Lord?" 01:02 And it happened to me. I did this big around-the- 01:06 world trip-10 bucks a day or 1 buck a day- 01:09 I don't know-for months. I was caught in no man's 01:13 land between Hong Kong and China. I was cold, 01:17 all wet, and I heard this strong call, "Marty, 01:21 follow me to reach the unreached." And then 01:23 God put on my heart to work for Muslims. But 01:26 what- I think it's just asking God, "What 01:30 do you put in my hands?" And something I learned 01:32 from some very good Mennonite friends of mine 01:35 is when they're asked that question, "What 01:38 does God put in your hands? What are your 01:40 talents? What are your gifts? What do you enjoy 01:42 doing? What does your family do? What resources 01:47 do you have?" And then that kind of starts to 01:49 close down and show you what to do. - Yes. Amen. 01:52 Well, thank you so much, brother Marty. - Thank you. 01:55 Such a pleasure to be here with you, Jason. 01:56 - Yes, sir. Thank you for joining us! Join 01:58 us next time. God bless. |
