00:02 for a study on sanctification. 00:04 Want to give Pastor John and Ryan 00:06 a moment for closing thought. 00:07 Pastor John? 00:09 Well, now justification, we always appreciate that. 00:12 But I love the way that Paul the Apostle 00:14 who knows this so well pulls it together. 00:17 Romans 6:22. 00:19 "But now," he says, I love that, 00:22 "having been set free from sin, 00:25 and having become slaves of God." 00:28 What's the benefit? 00:29 "You have your fruit to holiness, 00:32 and the end, everlasting life." 00:35 That's the sanctification 00:37 that I am so appreciative of God doing within me. 00:40 And so, when you want to be submitted to God, 00:43 that's the end result. 00:44 He will give you the fruit of holiness 00:47 and everlasting life as evidence 00:48 of His presence in your life. 00:50 Amen. Amen. 00:51 Paul's also my example for my closing thought. 00:53 You know, he had an experience with Christ. 00:55 Did his experience stop there? 00:56 No, it continued on, notice it. 00:58 I love this quote from Testimonies, volume 4, 01:00 page 299. 01:02 It says "Paul sanctification 01:03 was in constant conflict with self. 01:07 Said he, 'I die daily.' 01:09 His will and his desires 01:11 everyday conflicted with duty and the will of God. 01:15 Instead of following inclination, 01:17 he did the will of God, 01:18 however unpleasant and crucifying to his nature.'" 01:22 So just as Paul has experienced, 01:25 he was justified when he was brought to Christ. 01:28 But yet his experience didn't stop there. 01:30 He died daily, 01:31 because he beheld Christ 01:33 and surrendered his will to His every single day. 01:35 Amen. 01:36 Thank you so much, Ryan and Pastor John, 01:38 we certainly need another hour. 01:40 We just barely scratched the surface. 01:42 We're so grateful that you joined us as well. 01:44 My closing scripture is from Peter. 01:47 1 Peter 2:9, "You are a chosen generation, 01:50 a royal priesthood, a holy nation, 01:53 God's own special people 01:54 that you would proclaim His praises 01:56 who brought you from darkness and sin 01:59 into His marvelous light." 02:00 God bless you. |
