Sweet. 04:53 I like that. 04:54 We want to welcome our viewers. 04:55 It's a blessing to have each and every one of you 04:57 joining us. 04:58 And it's a little awkward 04:59 that I'm the one opening up this program. 05:01 'Cause usually you're the one doing it. 05:02 You know what? 05:04 I think you're doing a wonderful job. 05:05 I think you're fully in control and you know what? 05:07 This is a Today program 05:08 and typically we do a lot of stuff 05:10 on the Praise Him network. 05:12 For those of you who wonder 05:14 where we usually are hanging our hat, 05:16 we're usually on that network because it's all music. 05:18 Right. 05:20 But I guess they decided 05:21 that we needed a little song for the day 05:24 and I love music. 05:27 I love music too, brother. 05:28 I would truly be lost without music. 05:30 That's right. 05:31 You know, and some people they can, 05:33 you know, their thing is an hour to sermon. 05:36 They'd rather hear a whole sermon 05:37 and others that perhaps, 05:38 maybe the sermon doesn't speak to them 05:41 as much music does. 05:42 And so this is where God blesses those... 05:44 Absolutely. 05:45 Who He has gifted, you know, and I praise the Lord 05:47 that we can come together like this 05:48 and make music for the Lord. 05:50 And we'll be singing a lot about that today. 05:51 Yeah, we will be. 05:53 And I love the fact that God uses our gifts. 05:54 He's the one who our gifts come from. 05:57 And so I like also regarding music 06:01 how, when Saul was in a bad mood, 06:05 the Bible says that it was David, 06:07 that he called on to come in, play your heart, 06:09 bring your heart with you, 06:11 and play me a song and get me out of this funk. 06:14 And, you know... Right. 06:15 Music is powerful. 06:16 Yeah, it really, really, really is. 06:18 So Such a blessing. 06:19 And I love to hear you sing. 06:21 And I love to, you know, we get a lot of people 06:23 that send in their requests 06:25 and say they love to sing along. 06:27 So, yeah, let's just, let's sing some more and... 06:29 That's right. Yeah. 06:31 In fact, this next song it's entitled, 06:34 you gave me love 06:35 and it's a song that my dad used to sing 06:37 growing up. 06:38 In fact, he sing this to my mom on their wedding day. 06:41 Oh, sweet. 06:44 But this is a song that's special to me 06:46 because I love the words of it. 06:47 I love the message of it. 06:49 It basically tells us that, you know, You Lord, 06:52 You gave me love when no one else gave me 06:53 time of day, right? 06:55 When the world's against us. 06:56 And it seems like we don't have anyone 06:57 on our side. 06:59 Jesus is there. He's there to embrace us. 07:01 He's there to bestow that wonderful love upon us. 07:03 And so let's sing about it. 07:11 You gave me time 07:14 When no one gave me time of day 07:22 You looked deep inside 07:24 While the rest of the world looked away 07:33 You smiled at me 07:35 When there were just frowns 07:37 Everywhere 07:43 You gave me love 07:46 When nobody gave me a prayer 07:54 That's why I call You Savior 08:00 That's why I call You Friend 08:06 You touched my heart 08:08 And You touched my soul 08:11 And helped me start over again 08:17 That's why I love You, Jesus 08:23 That's why I'll always care 08:29 'Cause You gave me love 08:32 When nobody gave me a prayer 08:46 You gave me laughter 08:49 After I cried 08:51 All my tears 08:57 You heard of my dreams 09:00 While the rest of the world 09:02 Closed it's ears 09:08 I looked in Your eyes 09:10 And I found the tenderness there 09:19 You gave me love 09:22 When nobody gave me a prayer 09:30 That's why I call You Savior 09:36 That's why I call You Friend 09:41 You touched my heart 09:44 You touched my soul 09:47 And helped me start all over again 09:53 That's why I love You, Jesus 09:58 That's why I'll always care 10:04 You gave me love 10:07 When nobody gave me a prayer 10:15 That's why I love You, Jesus 10:21 That's why I'll always care 10:31 'Cause You gave me love 10:35 When nobody gave me 10:41 A prayer 10:53 Sweet. 10:55 I love the fact that God is full of love. 10:59 He is love. 11:00 And I read something recently that talked about a person 11:05 was saying how tired they are 11:07 that we live in such a disposable world 11:09 where we throw people away. 11:11 We dispose of people 11:13 when they do things against us 11:17 or, you know, if they do something 11:19 that we think is not redeemable. 11:23 Right. 11:24 We just, we just pitch them. That's right. 11:26 But grateful that we serve a God 11:28 who is all about love and restoration. 11:31 And so, yeah... Yeah. 11:33 As you were saying I thought of the picture 11:35 to come to my mind was a woman caught in adultery, 11:37 and she was thrown at the feet of Jesus. 11:39 Right? Yeah. 11:40 You know, "Hey, this woman, 11:41 Moses law says 11:43 that she ought to be stoned to death. 11:44 What do you say, Jesus?" 11:46 You know, Jesus is the master of the horror on right. 11:47 He could have, at that moment said, 11:49 "Yeah, you know, commit adultery. 11:51 And, you know, the wages of sin is," you know? 11:55 But again, once again, that love stepped in. 11:57 Right, Absolutely. 11:59 And if that isn't love. Right. 12:01 Yeah, He is the example. I don't know what it is, right? 12:05 Oh, I love this song. 12:12 He left the splendor 12:17 Of heaven 12:22 Knowing His destiny 12:32 Was the lonely hill 12:36 Of Golgotha 12:42 There to lay down 12:46 His life for me 12:55 And if that 12:58 Isn't love 13:06 The ocean is dry 13:14 There's no stars in the sky 13:21 And the sparrow can't fly 13:30 If that isn't love 13:39 Then heaven's a myth 13:47 There's no feeling 13:50 Like this 13:56 If that isn't love 14:10 Even in death 14:13 He remembered 14:19 The thief 14:20 Hanging by His side 14:27 He spoke of love 14:31 And compassion 14:36 Then He promised him 14:40 Paradise 14:47 If that 14:50 Isn't love 14:58 The ocean is dry 15:06 There's no stars 15:08 In the sky 15:14 And the sparrow 15:16 Can't fly 15:26 If that 15:30 Isn't love 15:39 Then heaven's 15:41 A myth 15:46 There's no feeling 15:49 Like this 15:55 If that 15:59 Isn't love 16:19 Sweet. 16:22 Praise the Lord. Yeah, Right? 16:24 Yeah. I love the power... 16:25 That's a poem right there. 16:27 What a gift, Dottie Rambo 16:29 was the writer of that song. 16:31 Absolutely. 16:32 She wrote a lot of great songs but just the picture of that, 16:35 you know, the hopelessness 16:37 of all those little scenarios... 16:38 Right. 16:40 To think that if it weren't for it... 16:43 Well, it's just a beautiful picture. 16:44 It is powerful. 16:45 I love that chorus 16:47 because it gives you this kind of weird, 16:48 you know, completely insane kind of scenario in your mind. 16:51 Well, if that's not love, then the oceans dry... 16:52 Right, right, right. 16:54 The bird sparrows can't fly 16:55 and there's no stars in the sky. 16:56 Wait a second. Yes, there are. 16:58 That must be love, right? 16:59 Yeah. 17:01 And when you see the cross of Calvary, 17:02 when you look at what Christ down for us. 17:04 Oh... Yeah. 17:05 There's no greater love. 17:07 No, no greater love at all. No. 17:08 And until we all... 17:09 We live in a world where, 17:12 you know, some people have a difficult time 17:15 maybe understanding their love, maybe seeing that love. 17:19 And that's why we do these programs, right? 17:20 Because we want to share that love 17:22 with each and every one of you at home. 17:24 Amen. 17:25 And be able to share this 17:26 with as many people as possible 17:28 because you know what, Christ has changed our life. 17:30 The love of God has changed our lives 17:32 and there's people out there, 17:33 there may be someone watching right now. 17:35 That's just you live in anxiety, right? 17:38 You live... Absolutely. 17:39 You experience anxiety and depression and stress 17:42 on a daily basis. 17:43 And, you know, 17:44 the good thing about music is that, 17:47 you know what, you know, a lot of people say, you know, 17:49 you shouldn't sing music or you shouldn't sing songs 17:51 that you spark emotion, right? 17:52 Because, you know, it's bad, but yet, God created emotions. 17:55 He's a God of emotion, right? 17:57 But yet he doesn't want us 17:58 to be manipulated by our emotions, right? 18:00 We shouldn't be controlled by those emotions. 18:02 But nonetheless, I love music 18:05 because not only does it tell the story 18:07 and help us to feel something special 18:10 and you can occasionally sing a song 18:11 that can lift our spirits, right? 18:13 Absolutely. 18:14 And teach a good message in the process. 18:15 And I love this next song 18:17 because actually it's kind of a medley 18:18 we're gonna sing. 18:20 And it talks about not worrying. 18:22 What does that mean, a medley? 18:23 A medley? Oh, a medley. Okay. 18:25 You were asking... 18:27 I thought you were really wanting to know. 18:28 Does this applied theory here? 18:30 So a medley basically as a compilation 18:32 of two or more songs, right? 18:33 Okay. It makes sense. 18:35 We're gonna bring some songs together 18:36 and just kind of make one continuous beautiful. 18:38 Kind of like a casserole if you were cooking right? 18:41 A little bit of this, a little bit of that. 18:42 Okay, okay. All right, all right. 18:44 All right. I love this. 18:47 You start. 18:49 I'm not gonna worry, I'm not gonna fret 18:55 I'm not gonna speculate or contemplate 18:59 What hasn't happen yet I'm not gonna worry 19:04 'Cause He's got the whole thing 19:06 In His hands 19:12 I won't let it haunt me, I won't let it win 19:18 I'm not gonna ruminate or meditate 19:22 On how it might've been I'm gonna release it 19:27 'Cause He's got the whole thing 19:29 In His hands 19:36 Maybe lately I started to resign 19:42 So here it goes God only knows 19:45 It might just ease my mind 19:47 I'm not gonna worry, I'm not gonna fret 19:53 I'm just gonna wait and see 19:55 And in between give thanks 19:57 Of what I get I live in the moment 20:02 'Cause He's got the whole thing 20:05 In His hands 20:11 You've got to accentuate 20:15 The positive 20:17 Eliminate the negative 20:23 Latch on to the affirmative 20:28 Don't mess with Mister In-Between 20:32 You've got to spread joy 20:36 Up to the maximum 20:39 Bring gloom down to the minimum 20:44 Have faith or pandemonium 20:49 Liable to walk upon the scene 20:54 To illustrate my last remark 20:58 Jonah in the whale 21:01 Noah in the ark 21:04 What did they do 21:07 Just when everything looked so dark 21:13 Man, they said we better, 21:16 Accentuate the positive 21:21 Eliminate the negative 21:26 Latch on to the affirmative 21:31 Don't mess 21:32 With Mister In-Between 21:38 You've got to accentuate the positive 21:42 Eliminate the negative 21:45 Latch on to the affirmative 21:47 Don't mess with Mister In-Between 21:49 You've got to spread, spread joy 21:51 Up to the maximum 21:53 Bring gloom down to the minimum 21:56 Have faith or pandemonium 21:58 Liable to walk upon the scene 22:00 To illustrate my last remark 22:03 Jonah in the whale, Noah in the ark 22:06 What did they do 22:07 Just when everything looked so dark 22:10 Man, they said we better, accentuate the positive 22:15 Eliminate the negative 22:17 Latch on to the affirmative 22:20 Don't mess with Mister In-Between 22:22 No, do not mess with Mister In-Between 22:25 No, do not mess with Mister 22:29 In-Between 22:38 That's right. Positive message, right? 22:41 That's right. Accentuate the positive. 22:43 Amen. Yeah, I'm not gonna worry. 22:45 That's right. Right. 22:46 I like the line that says if you're gonna worry, 22:49 don't pray. 22:50 That's right, okay. 22:52 But if you pray, don't worry, right? 22:53 Right. 22:55 You know because truly that's... 22:56 Amen. Amen, bro. 22:58 So that's the way I feel about it anyway. 23:00 Yeah, you know, we need a little bit more joy 23:02 and more positive energy. 23:04 You know, only Christ can bring that true joy. 23:06 Only Jesus can bring that true positive energy 23:09 because it's the spirit of the Lord 23:11 that provides that positive energy. 23:13 And I just praise the Lord that we serve a God 23:15 who wants to fill our life with joy, 23:17 who wants to fill our life with excitement. 23:20 Oh, what a savior he is. 23:21 Yes, He is a wonderful savior. 23:23 This is a song 23:25 that has been requested quite a bit. 23:26 Yes. Oh, what a Savior. Let's sing. 23:39 Once 23:40 I was straying 23:47 In sin's dark valley 23:54 No hope within 23:57 Could I see 24:07 But they searched through heaven 24:13 And they found 24:16 A Savior 24:20 To save 24:22 A poor lost soul 24:28 Like me 24:33 Oh 24:34 What a Savior 24:41 Oh, hallelujah 24:47 His heart 24:49 Was broken 24:54 On Calvary 25:00 His hands 25:02 Were nail scarred 25:07 His side was riven 25:13 He gave 25:15 His life's blood 25:21 For even me 25:32 When this world 25:34 Is over 25:39 One of these days 25:40 I'll be crossing 25:44 That's right 25:45 And I'll not fear For His hand 25:49 Will lead me 25:52 Oh, it'll lead me 25:55 Safe o'er 26:04 I'll join 26:06 The quartet 26:11 In that great city 26:18 I'm gonna sing up there 26:23 Forever 26:27 And evermore 26:32 Oh 26:33 What a Savior 26:39 Oh, hallelujah 26:45 His heart 26:47 Was broken 26:52 On Calvary 26:59 His hands 27:00 Were nail scarred 27:06 His side was riven 27:12 He gave 27:14 His life's blood 27:19 He gave 27:21 His life's blood 27:25 Jesus gave 27:27 His life's blood 27:33 For even me 27:43 Oh, what a Savior 27:55 Amen. Wow. 27:57 That is one of those songs, man. 28:00 That is beautiful. You just hear it... 28:02 And again speaking of cathedrals, 28:03 we mentioned those earlier. 28:05 That was the song that the cathedrals sing 28:07 at everyone of their concerts. 28:08 Right, right. Yeah. 28:09 And, oh, man. 28:11 Yeah. 28:12 It's just one of those classics that... 28:14 It's the message. 28:16 I mean, it's a powerful song. It is. 28:17 But it's the message. 28:19 The message. What a Savior. 28:20 I mean, you could have whisper that. 28:22 And it would be powerful, right? 28:23 That's right. I just... I love... 28:26 And I can imagine that many of us 28:27 are going to step onto heaven shore 28:31 and when we're there that first moment. 28:33 You know, we've already been 28:34 through the hype of the second coming 28:36 and, you know, Jesus is taking us 28:37 on this heavenly journey back to heaven, right? 28:39 You know, through the universe, 28:41 past the moon, and the stars and the milky way 28:43 and, you know, I could just imagine this... 28:45 But yet, when He takes us into His glorious kingdom, 28:48 and when we step onto heaven shore 28:50 for the first time. 28:52 And we look up and see our Savior, 28:53 I could imagine that's probably going to be the words 28:57 as we hit our knees, oh, what a Savior. 28:59 Yeah. Oh, it's powerful. 29:02 You know, I think you sang a song 29:05 Jesus, what a Savior you are. Yeah. 29:07 And I just want to play that. 29:09 If you sing it... 29:10 I don't even remember the words. 29:13 I remember... 29:54 Jesus, what a Savior you are 30:01 Savior you are 30:05 Jesus what a savior 30:11 You are 30:15 Just sing that at home with me. 30:17 Jesus, what a Savior you are 30:24 What a savior you are 30:29 Jesus, what a Savior 30:35 You are 30:38 Let's sing that again. 30:40 Jesus what a savior 30:44 You are 30:47 Savior you are 30:52 Jesus what savior 30:59 You are 31:14 Amen 31:15 Jesus what a savior you are. 31:18 And you know, I don't think that they'll ever forget. 31:21 In fact, I know we're not going to forget. 31:23 We're told that, you know, when we get to heaven, 31:26 and people ask this to me all the time 31:28 when I'm on the road and I'm doing evangelism. 31:30 "You know, Ryan if sin broke out 31:31 and heaven was perfect the first time, right, 31:34 and Lucifer sinned in heaven in the perfect presence of God. 31:38 Surely, it can happen again, 31:39 you know, if Jesus comes back and gets us people, 31:41 and maybe in as eternity rolls on, 31:44 someone's along the way gets selfish again 31:47 and decides that they want to launch a rebellion." 31:49 But I love the fact that we're told 31:50 that there's only going to be one flaw in heaven. 31:54 And that's the scars in Jesus hands. 31:55 Yes. 31:56 It's going to be a forever reminder 31:59 that when we see those scars upon His hands, 32:02 that that's the price of sin, death, 32:05 that it took the death of the Son of God 32:10 to redeem us all. 32:11 And the first thought 32:12 that's going to come to our mind 32:14 is there's no way in the world 32:16 that we would ever think about going back to that, right? 32:18 We already been through that there's no way. 32:21 I think all of the universe 32:22 is going to look upon that scene 32:24 of the earth 32:26 and after it's all done and finished 32:27 and they're gonna say, you know what, 32:29 there's no way we could ever even try to even remotely think 32:32 about going back to that 32:34 because of what we see the effects of sin 32:37 and all that it takes, 32:38 it ultimately took the life of Jesus 32:41 and Jesus is going to be a constant reminder 32:43 of the power that He had, 32:45 the love that He had to overcome the world, 32:48 overcome sin. 32:50 And so what a savior He is. 32:51 And we're never going to forget that. 32:53 And I love this next song. 32:55 Okay, it's again, we have another medley. 32:56 Okay. 32:57 Do I need to explain that one again? 32:59 No, no, I got it now. 33:00 I remember now. Right? 33:02 This is a beautiful song. I love... 33:03 This is kind of a spunky. 33:04 Jesus, I'll never forget. 33:07 And then we'll sing a little bit of power 33:08 in the blood, right? 33:09 Yeah, it's one of my favorites. Here we go. 33:11 Oh, Jesus, I'll never forget 33:16 What You done for me 33:19 Jesus, I'll never forget 33:21 How You set me free 33:24 Jesus, I'll never forget 33:25 How You brought me out 33:28 Jesus, I'll never forget 33:30 Oh, never. 33:33 Jesus, I'll never forget 33:35 What You done for me 33:38 Jesus, I'll never forget 33:39 How You set me free 33:42 Jesus, I'll never forget 33:44 How You brought me out 33:47 Jesus, I'll never forget 33:49 Oh, never 33:52 How can I forget What you've done for me 33:56 How can I forget How you set me free 34:01 How can I forget How you brought me out 34:06 How can I forget 34:08 No, never 34:09 Here we go. 34:11 How can I forget What you've done for me 34:15 How can I forget How you set me free 34:20 How can I forget How you brought me out 34:24 How can I forget 34:26 No, never 34:29 You've done so much for me 34:31 I cannot tell it all 34:33 I cannot tell it all I cannot tell it all 34:38 You've done so much for me 34:40 That I cannot tell it all 34:43 You took all my sins away 34:47 Would you be free from the burden of sin? 34:51 There's power in the blood 34:54 Power in the blood 34:56 Would you o'er evil a victory win? 35:01 There's wonderful power in the blood 35:05 There is power, power, wonder working power 35:10 In the blood of the Lamb 35:14 Oh, there is power, power, wonder working power 35:18 In the precious blood of the Lamb 35:20 Let me play that. I'm going to play it. 35:32 There is power, power, wonder working power 35:37 In the blood of the Lamb 35:41 There is power, power, wonder working power 35:46 In the precious blood of the Lamb 35:50 In the precious blood 35:53 Of the Lamb 36:03 Oh, I tell you when you just took off there 36:05 I learned with him when he goes into those... 36:09 I was not... 36:10 That was an improv, by the way. 36:12 That was not how we practiced it. 36:13 So I've learned 36:15 in the Middle East peace presentations like this. 36:17 When he gets... 36:18 You gets that look on your face. 36:19 And he gives me that look like, "I'm fixing to take off 36:21 you just be quiet and let it go." 36:23 Right? 36:25 You know what, that was my part of the medley. 36:27 I wanted to add some spice in that. 36:28 Absolutely right. 36:29 No, you know, 36:31 power in the blood and those are great songs. 36:33 Those are kind of songs I grew up on. 36:34 And I think you probably did too. 36:36 And that brings the little life into the church 36:39 but really, I saw you, 36:41 you were down there singing 36:43 in the low part of the power in the blood. 36:45 And so that doesn't sound very powerful to me. 36:46 I want to get... 36:48 Yeah, we got to get it up there. 36:50 Yeah, I appreciate that though. 36:52 I think... My privilege. 36:53 That's the privilege of having 36:55 a wonderfully gifted and talented pianist. 36:56 Well... 36:57 In the middle of a song can say, "You know what, 36:59 let's kick it up a notch and change a key." 37:01 I hope nobody was hurt. 37:03 So... 37:05 No, seriously. 37:07 We've been singing some songs that just... 37:11 I guess... 37:12 What kind of songs are... 37:14 The southern gospel songs and some spirituals. 37:18 And we have 37:19 a lot of people that watch us... 37:21 That they like to... 37:22 In fact, of course, 37:23 Your Favorites By Request program. 37:25 And it's amazing it was... 37:27 So this is... 37:29 You know, I know you're not supposed to date 37:30 a program but this is 2021. 37:34 And we did... 37:37 I think how many years ago? 37:38 Four years ago, we started the Your Favorites By Request. 37:41 And just by sending out an email, 37:43 and I know probably a lot of you get tired of me 37:45 telling the story, 37:47 but it still amazes me how that... 37:50 There is not a day goes by 37:52 that I don't at least get one request. 37:54 Amen. 37:55 And I can always tell when the program has aired 37:58 because they come in like five and six requests. 38:02 And so I just love the fact 38:04 that people are watching all over the world, 38:05 Indonesia, Turkey, UK, Jamaica, 38:09 the islands, and even over in Kansas. 38:13 Yeah. 38:15 They must have just heard about it. 38:16 So anyway, it's really a thrill. 38:19 So I got some requests 38:22 that I thought we might as well just maybe do two or three. 38:26 I mean, we've got a little bit of time left. 38:27 Little bit. Just a little. 38:29 So 'cause you never know how things are gonna go. 38:32 You got to always have a backup song. 38:34 Absolutely, absolutely. 38:35 And with someone like you, 38:37 we could just go if we had another hour, right? 38:40 We'll see. Praise the Lord. 38:42 But so I got this request 38:45 that came in from Valerie Morikone. 38:51 Now, I don't know very many Morikones, 38:52 but I know a couple. 38:55 And so I think that this might be 38:57 a relation to our very own Greg Morikone. 39:00 That's sounds about correct. 39:02 Well, and especially for the fact 39:03 that they say for Greg's grandfather, 39:05 who turned 98 in February of 2021, 39:09 his name is Lyle Hamill. 39:11 And they say 39:14 he sure appreciates the 3ABN program so very much. 39:17 And so this is a request 39:19 called In The Sweet By and By. 39:21 Praise the Lord. It's a great song. 39:35 There's a land that is fairer than day 39:41 And by faith we can see it afar 39:46 For the Father waits over the way 39:52 To prepare us a dwelling place there 39:58 In the sweet by and by 40:05 We shall meet on that beautiful shore 40:11 In the sweet by and by 40:17 We shall meet on that beautiful shore 40:24 We shall sing on that beautiful shore 40:30 The melodious songs of the blessed 40:35 And our spirits shall sorrow no more 40:41 Not a sigh for the blessing of rest 40:47 In the sweet by and by 40:53 We shall meet on that beautiful shore 40:59 In the sweet by and by 41:05 We shall meet on that beautiful shore 41:12 To our bountiful Father above 41:18 We will offer our tribute of praise 41:23 For the glorious gift of His love 41:29 And the blessings that hallow our days 41:35 In the sweet by and by 41:41 We shall meet on that beautiful shore 41:47 In the sweet by and by 41:53 We shall meet on that beautiful shore 42:00 We shall meet 42:02 On that beautiful shore 42:11 And what a meeting it'll be, right? 42:12 Yeah, that's right. Man, what a great time. 42:14 Praise the Lord. What a great time. 42:16 Another request is in the same key. 42:20 It's called no not one. All right. 42:22 And it goes like this. Yeah. 42:25 There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus 42:29 No, not one! 42:32 No, not one 42:34 None else could heal 42:36 All our soul's diseases 42:39 No, not one! 42:42 No, not one 42:44 Jesus knows all about our struggles 42:49 He will guide till the day is done 42:54 There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus 42:59 No, not one! 43:02 No, not one 43:05 No friend like Him is so high and holy 43:10 No, not one! 43:12 No, not one 43:15 And yet no friend is so meek and lowly 43:20 No, not one! 43:23 No, not one 43:25 Jesus knows all about our struggles 43:30 He will guide till the day is done 43:36 There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus 43:41 No, not one! 43:43 No, not one 43:50 There's not an hour that He is not near us 43:55 No, not one! 43:58 No, not one 44:00 And no night so dark but His love can cheer us 44:06 No, not one! 44:08 No, not one 44:15 Was there a gift like the Savior given? 44:20 No, not one! 44:23 No, not one 44:26 Will He refuse us a home in heaven? 44:31 Oh, no, not one! 44:34 No, not one 44:37 Jesus knows all about our struggles 44:42 He will guide till the day is done 44:48 There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus 44:53 No, not one! 44:56 No, not one 44:59 No, not one! 45:02 No, not one 45:09 Oh, I love that. No one like Jesus. 45:12 No, there is no one. No, not one. 45:13 No one. Man, that is awesome. 45:15 Yeah. 45:16 You know, I get calls sometimes. 45:19 I got a call the other day from someone in pastoral. 45:24 And basically, they were asking for prayer 45:29 but with that they were asking, they said, 45:30 "You know what, is there any way 45:32 that I could connect you to a young man that I know?" 45:35 This young man was raised in the Christian faith. 45:38 And he basically had walked away 45:42 from the Christian faith 45:43 because he had read all this different stuff online 45:46 from different sources, different websites, 45:48 that had convinced him 45:50 that Jesus was no special person. 45:52 Jesus was not the Messiah. 45:54 He was just maybe a good man 45:55 that done some good things in his time. 45:57 But, you know, there was no resurrection 45:59 He died and He's been dead for all this time. 46:01 And, you know, He just left some good teachings behind. 46:04 And, you know, that just reminds me 46:07 there's a lot of people... 46:08 I think enemy is trying to sow doubt. 46:11 He's trying to sow doubt about who Christ is. 46:14 He's trying to sow doubt about the power of Christ, 46:17 and the love of God. 46:19 And he's trying to mischaracterize 46:20 who Jesus is. 46:22 And I love that song that you just sang 46:23 because it testifies to the fact 46:25 that there is none like Jesus, really. 46:27 Buddha didn't die for his people, right? 46:29 Confucius didn't die for his people, right? 46:31 I don't know of any, you know, polytheistic faith out there, 46:35 no false god out there that has ever done 46:37 what Jesus has done. 46:39 And that is that God came and died to redeem man. 46:43 So there is none. 46:45 No, not one that can measure up to Jesus. 46:50 And I praise God for that. Yeah, you're right. 46:52 And another thing about that is that, 46:55 to my knowledge, and I haven't studied, 46:57 clearly, like you have, 47:00 some of the other religions, 47:01 but you know, a lot of the ideas 47:05 in other religions are, 47:07 you have it maybe within yourself, 47:09 and you think things through 47:12 and there's no support line. 47:17 You know, there's no 800 number to call 47:19 whenever you're in trouble. 47:21 And Jesus is definitely more than our 800 number, 47:26 but He offers 47:27 24/7 customer support if you will. 47:32 And we can call on Jesus any time. 47:34 And so that's the thing I love about being a Christian, 47:38 a Christ-follower, 47:40 is there's somebody 47:41 I actually can follow and imitate. 47:43 And He promises us the protection. 47:47 The Bible calls that His wings. That's right. 47:50 And I love how that picture 47:53 depicts God as having wings... 47:57 That we can hide under. 47:59 And so there's a request that came in from. 48:02 And thank you for this. Yeah. 48:04 This is in the hymnal, 48:06 and I'm not as familiar with it. 48:08 So this is somewhere in Australia, 48:12 which is a pretty big, big play. 48:14 Just a small little island 48:16 out in the middle of South Pacific. 48:17 But there resides a man named Bob Bailey, 48:20 he sent in a request for this song, 48:24 and I'm gonna play it once through 48:26 and then we can sing it, 48:27 and you can sing along at home if you want to. 48:51 That was pretty. 48:54 Under his wings 48:56 I am safely abiding 49:00 Though the night deepens and tempests are wild 49:06 Still I can trust Him 49:09 I know He will keep me 49:12 He has redeemed me 49:15 And I am His child 49:19 Under His wings 49:22 Under His wings 49:26 Who from His love can sever? 49:33 Under His wings 49:36 My soul shall abide 49:40 Safely abide forever 50:14 Under His wings 50:17 Under His wings 50:20 Who from His love can sever? 50:27 Under His wings 50:29 My soul shall abide 50:33 Safely abide 50:37 Forever 50:43 Those verses they say under his wings, 50:46 what a refuge in sorrow how the heart yearning, 50:50 yearningly turns to its rest. 50:53 Often when earth has no balm for my healing, 50:56 there I find comfort, and there I am blest. 50:59 Amen. 51:01 And then the second verse or the third verse. 51:02 Under his wings, oh, what precious enjoyment. 51:05 There will I hide to life's trials are over. 51:09 Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me, 51:12 resting in Jesus I'm safe evermore. 51:15 Amen. Amen. 51:16 It's under His wings 51:20 Under His wings 51:23 Who from His love can sever? 51:30 Under His wings 51:33 My soul shall abide 51:38 Safely abide 51:43 Forever 51:50 Amen. I love that. I love that. 51:52 Sweet. It's powerful. 51:54 We got a couple more here. 51:55 If you don't mind... All right. Let's go. 51:56 Hey, I'm just... 51:58 You know what, 51:59 I have a free ticket to the show, 52:00 and I'm just excited to be here. 52:02 Well, you know, I had to sit through all you singing... 52:03 That's okay. Absolutely... 52:05 No, no, no, that's a good point. 52:06 Yeah. That's a good point. Yeah. 52:07 I am... Again, we just... 52:12 You know, the thing is, again, 52:13 I get so many of these requests 52:15 that it would take me a month of months 52:17 to get all of them in. 52:19 So I figured while we had this opportunity 52:21 while whoever was supposed to be here, 52:23 you know, set and doing the talk like 52:25 they usually do on the Today program. 52:26 Right? 52:28 You know, we put tape over their mouth 52:31 and gagged them and put them in the closet. 52:34 So that's why we got this but it is a time of worship. 52:37 And so this is a song 52:39 from Arlene from Valrico, Florida. 52:42 Okay. Oh, wow. 52:44 If it has Florida in it... 52:47 Right. Okay I'm there. 52:49 Not like the North Florida, 52:51 which is kind of really just southern Georgia. 52:52 Ooh, okay. 52:54 We apologize 52:55 all those Florida people out there. 52:56 He just said you're from Georgia. 52:58 I'm sorry. 52:59 Well, if it's not warm, but, no, seriously, 53:01 this is for Arlene 53:03 and it's Just When I Need Him Most. 53:05 Yes. I love it. 53:07 I like that. 53:11 Just when I need Him, Jesus is near 53:16 Just when I falter, just when I fear 53:21 Ready to help me, ready to cheer 53:26 Just when I need Him most 53:31 Just when I need Him most 53:35 Just when I need Him most 53:39 Jesus is near to comfort and cheer 53:43 Just when I need Him most 53:47 Just when I need Him, Jesus is true 53:52 Never forsaking 53:55 All the way through 53:58 Giving for burdens pleasures anew 54:04 Just when I need Him most 54:08 Just when I need Him most 54:12 Just when I need Him most 54:16 Jesus is near to comfort and cheer 54:20 Just when I need Him most 54:24 Just when I need Him, He is my all 54:30 Answering when upon Him I call 54:36 Tenderly watching lest I should fall 54:41 Just when I need Him most 54:46 Just when I need Him most 54:50 Just when I need Him most 54:54 Jesus is near to comfort and cheer 54:58 Just when I need Him most 55:03 Just when I need Him 55:08 Most 55:13 Yeah, good. I love that. I love that. 55:15 Now I want to hear you sing. 55:16 We probably do maybe just one more tune. 55:17 Okay. 55:19 And it's fun singing 55:21 before When We All Get to Heaven. 55:23 Now I don't have a clue what key this 55:25 is because we haven't rehearsed this. 55:27 So I will... 55:29 Let me do... Let me try this. 55:31 We'll try this one and if it doesn't work, 55:32 we will wish it had. 55:34 Okay. Okay? 55:35 Let's do it. So do you know the lyrics? 55:37 Oh, no. Do you have it there? 55:38 Okay, I have them right there. Can you read them? 55:39 Okay. Yeah, I can absolutely. 55:49 Sing the wondrous love of Jesus 55:53 Sing his mercy and his grace 55:57 In the mansions bright and blessed 56:01 He'll prepare for us a place 56:04 When we all get to heaven 56:08 What a day of rejoicing that will be 56:12 When we all see Jesus 56:16 We'll sing and shout the victory 56:21 While we walk the pilgrim pathway 56:25 Clouds will overspread the sky 56:29 But when traveling days are over 56:33 Not a shadow, not a sigh 56:37 When we all get to heaven 56:41 What a day of rejoicing that will be 56:45 When we all see Jesus 56:49 We'll sing and shout the victory 56:50 Again. 56:53 When we all get to heaven 56:57 What a day of rejoicing that will be 57:01 When we all see Jesus 57:06 We'll sing and shout the victory 57:10 When we all see Jesus 57:15 We'll sing 57:18 And shout 57:23 The victory 57:30 Amen. Yes, praise the Lord. 57:33 Thank you so much for joining us. 57:35 God bless. |
