00:17 Your Favorites By Request
00:20 La-la-la
00:23 La-la-la
00:28 Philippians 2:9-10, it says,
00:31 "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him,
00:34 and given him a name which is above every name.
00:37 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
00:39 of things in heaven, and things in earth,
00:42 and things under the earth.
00:43 And that every tongue should confess that
00:45 Jesus Christ is Lord,
00:47 to the glory of God the Father."
00:49 Before we start singing,
00:51 I want to invite a friend of mine
00:52 who I've asked to come and sing phrases with me.
00:55 His name is Pastor John Lomacang.
00:57 Pastor, come on out here.
00:59 It's so great to see you.
01:00 I'm delighted that you have
01:02 accepted my invitation to be here.
01:03 Good to be here.
01:05 We're gonna praise the Lord together.
01:06 Let's do it right now.
01:08 His name is worthy to be praised.
01:09 It truly is. So let's sing this.
01:11 For Ruth to begin with,
01:12 "All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name."

04:32 Mighty God
04:37 No other name
04:42 But the Name of Jesus
04:46 No other name
04:49 But the Name of the Lord
04:54 No other name
04:56 But the Name of Jesus
05:01 Is worthy of honor
05:04 And worthy of glory
05:07 And worthy of power
05:10 And all praise
05:15 His name is exalted
05:19 Far above the earth

05:32 Far above the earth
05:35 Give glory, give honor
05:38 Give praise unto His Name

05:49 No other name
05:52 But the Name of the Lord
05:56 No other name
05:59 But the Name of Jesus
06:04 Is worthy of glory
06:07 And worthy of honor
06:11 And worthy of power
06:14 And all praise
06:19 Here we go.
06:20 The name of the Lord is
06:24 A strong tower
06:27 The righteous run into it
06:30 And they are saved
06:33 The name of the Lord is
06:37 A strong tower
06:40 The righteous run into it
06:43 And they are saved
06:45 Blessed be the name.
06:47 Blessed be the name of the Lord
06:50 Blessed be the name of the Lord
06:54 Blessed be the name of the Lord
06:56 Most High
07:00 Blessed be the name of the Lord
07:03 Blessed be the name of the Lord
07:07 Blessed be the name of the Lord
07:09 Most High
07:10 Sing it again.
07:13 Blessed be the name of the Lord
07:16 Blessed be the name of the Lord
07:19 Blessed be the name of the Lord
07:22 Most High
07:26 Blessed be the name of the Lord
07:29 Blessed be the name of the Lord
07:32 Blessed be the name of the Lord
07:34 Most High
07:40 We're gonna sing
07:42 some more right after this, so come on back.
07:47 In Bible times names were sacred,
07:50 and they defined
07:52 there was a character about them.
07:55 Talk a little bit about that?
07:57 Well, you know, in the Bible,
07:59 it seemed as though prophets particularly,
08:01 and priests, they were given names
08:03 that always associated them with one form
08:06 or another of the character of God,
08:09 Elijah, Elisha, Elkanah.
08:11 So when people mention their names,
08:13 they knew that there was some association
08:16 with God's plan or God's character,
08:19 even the name Methuselah.
08:22 It meant in the year he dies, the water comes.
08:26 And so the whole thing, can you imagine?
08:28 As long as Methuselah was around,
08:30 people knew the water wasn't coming.
08:32 Wow.
08:33 But Methuselah's name was an indication
08:34 that God had chosen his lifespan to indicate that
08:38 the promise of the coming flood was a promise of validity.
08:41 So as long as Methuselah was around,
08:44 people knew the flood hadn't come yet.
08:45 Wow. It's amazing.
08:47 It's really amazing. Yeah.
08:48 And John, in the New Testament,
08:50 meaning the one whom Jesus loves.
08:52 And I appreciate that because my name is John.
08:54 Sure, sure.
08:55 You know, and in the world the word
08:57 John has been so communized.
08:58 You know, John Smith, John Doe, you know,
09:00 and just so many ways
09:01 that the John has been messed up.
09:03 And your name, Timothy, for example.
09:04 Right, right. Exactly.
09:05 In fact, you know, there's like...
09:07 Well, my name means honoring God.
09:09 That's right.
09:10 And my parents named me
09:11 that there was nobody in my lineage
09:13 with that name,
09:15 they just like the name Timothy.
09:17 And just the bottom line is that we're given our names,
09:22 but one day we will receive a new name, right?
09:24 A new name. That's right.
09:26 Like Jacob. What did Jacob mean?
09:27 Yeah, in fact, his name was changed
09:30 from the Grabber to Israel, a prince.
09:34 The overcomer. Yeah, the overcomer.
09:36 And, you know, the Bible says when we get to heaven,
09:39 as Revelation 3 says we're gonna have...
09:41 The Lord gave us a white stone with a new name.
09:44 You know, as a setting in the Bible,
09:45 when somebody was put in court
09:47 and they couldn't decide the verdict.
09:49 And Jesus as the advocate,
09:51 He says, "I will give you a white stone,
09:54 the stone of exoneration,
09:55 of freedom and a new name on it."
09:58 So you will no longer be known as the person
10:00 that you were accused of being.
10:02 So in heaven, praise the Lord,
10:04 we're all gonna have a new name.
10:05 We're gonna have a new name, right?
10:07 There will be a name written down in glory.
10:08 Well, in fact, that's the name of this song.
10:09 And it talks about the time when I gave my life to Christ,
10:12 there was a new name written in glory.
10:14 And this is a song I remember from,
10:16 wow, when I was a little kid.
10:18 So here we go.
10:21 I was once a sinner
10:24 But I came
10:26 Pardon to receive from my Lord
10:30 This was freely given
10:33 And I found
10:35 That He always kept His word
10:39 There's a new name
10:41 Written down in glory
10:44 And it's mine
10:46 O yes, it's mine
10:49 And the white-robed
10:50 Angels sing the story
10:53 A sinner has come home
10:57 There's a new name
10:59 Written down in glory
11:02 And it's mine
11:04 O yes, it's mine
11:07 With my sins forgiven
11:09 I am bound for heaven
11:12 Nevermore to roam
11:16 I was humbly kneeling
11:19 At the cross Fearing naught
11:22 But God's angry frown
11:25 When the heavens opened
11:28 And I saw
11:30 That my name was written down
11:34 In the Book 'Tis written,
11:36 "Saved by grace"
11:39 O, the joy that came to my soul
11:43 Now I am forgiven
11:45 And I know
11:48 By His blood I am made whole
11:50 Sing it, John.
11:52 There's a new name
11:53 Written down in glory
11:56 And it's mine
11:58 O yes, it's mine Come on, Tim.
12:00 And the white-robed
12:02 Angels sing the story
12:04 A sinner has come home
12:08 For there's a new name
12:10 Written down in glory
12:13 And it's mine
12:15 O yes, it's mine What do you say?
12:17 And with my sin's forgiven
12:19 I am bound for heaven
12:22 Nevermore to roam
12:31 Amen. Amen.
12:32 That's good. That's good fun.
12:34 Can you imagine a new name?
12:35 I don't know what your name is gonna be in heaven,
12:36 but I think I'm gonna be able to identify you
12:38 because you'll be in the music section.
12:42 You know, my good friend, Pastor Doug Batchelor.
12:44 He's a great speaker, man of the Word.
12:48 And for many years,
12:49 we did a lot of ministry together.
12:51 And he said, John, when I get to heaven,
12:53 you'll be able to spot me
12:54 because I'll be the only one in heaven singing
12:55 at the top of my voice.
12:58 But the beauty is our name is gonna associate
13:03 with the character of our Redeemer.
13:04 Yes.
13:05 And you know that theme of new,
13:07 it's pretty popular in the Bible.
13:10 Yeah, it's prevalent. It's all through.
13:12 Not only in the Old Testament, you know,
13:14 Isaiah 66, the new heavens and the new earth.
13:16 But then Paul brings in, you know,
13:18 if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
13:22 So we have the new creation, and then Jesus in Revelation,
13:25 the new heavens, the new earth.
13:28 And then you also have the new name, you know,
13:30 he gives you a white stone with the new name.
13:32 And, you know, Tim, all that is a precursor
13:35 to seeing the Lord face to face 'cause, you know,
13:37 we can't see Him and this sinful flesh
13:39 and this mortal broken down body.
13:41 Everything has to become new before we can see
13:44 Jesus face to face.
13:46 Face to face, right?
13:47 Well, this is a request from Jewel
13:50 in Hackensack, Minnesota, Face to Face.
14:05 Face to face with Christ
14:08 My Savior Face to face,
14:13 What will it be
14:17 When with rapture
14:20 I behold Him Jesus Christ
14:25 Who died for me?
14:30 Face to face I shall behold Him
14:37 Far beyond the starry sky
14:43 Face to face in all His glory
14:50 I shall see
14:52 Him by and by
14:57 We sing it out.
15:19 Face to Face.
15:21 Face to face
15:23 I shall behold Him
15:27 Far beyond the starry sky
15:34 Face to face in all His glory
15:40 I shall see Him by and by
15:47 What rejoicing.
16:11 Face to face I shall behold Him
16:17 Far beyond the starry sky
16:23 Face to face in all His glory
16:29 I shall see Him
16:32 By and by
16:37 Face to face
16:39 Oh, blissful moment
16:43 Face to face to see and know
16:49 Face to face with my Redeemer
16:55 Jesus Christ who loves me so
16:59 Sing it now, John.
17:02 Face to face I shall behold Him
17:08 Far beyond the starry sky
17:15 Face to face
17:18 In all His glory
17:22 I shall see Him
17:25 By and by
17:32 Sweet.
17:33 What a great moment that will be,
17:35 face to face we see our Christ.
17:36 Amen.
17:38 The writer of this next request.
17:39 The request was sent from Enid.
17:42 The writer was a Methodist pastor
17:44 who says he wrote songs
17:46 and articles as recreation
17:48 and diversion from responsibilities
17:50 that might otherwise depress him.
17:52 Do you know of those...
17:54 Do you have a diversion like that
17:56 when you're ministering?
17:57 Yeah, I mean, sometimes we've got to
17:59 just disconnect, unplug,
18:02 and then go to that thing
18:03 that brings us comfort and repose and reset.
18:05 Right.
18:06 And I appreciate that he's saying that, you know,
18:08 because sometimes as pastors, we can get locked in.
18:11 I got to prepare another sermon,
18:12 I got to make a phone call,
18:13 I got to visit this person, I got to do this,
18:15 I got to do that.
18:16 And sometimes we're like, check this picture.
18:19 We're like a great cook in a restaurant,
18:21 and we're feeding everyone,
18:23 we have no time to eat ourselves.
18:24 Right, yeah.
18:26 And so we appreciate the fact that he had to get away
18:28 from all that and get some repose.
18:29 And he wrote some stuff.
18:31 Isn't that interesting that he was still connected
18:33 to his strength and his gifting.
18:37 And so this is
18:38 I Shall See the King, it's page 426
18:41 in the Adventist Hymnal.
18:43 I'm not quite as familiar with this.
18:44 So if you want to takeover... Oh, yeah.
18:46 Take this away.
18:47 I'm gonna actually do it in the key.
18:48 It's written in so I can kind of
18:50 follow along the way it goes.
18:51 So I could go. Okay.
18:57 I shall see the King
19:00 Where the angels sing
19:02 I shall see the King someday
19:07 In the better land
19:10 On the golden strand
19:12 And with Him shall ever be
19:17 In His glory
19:19 I shall see the King
19:22 And forever Eendless praises sing
19:26 'Twas on Calvary
19:29 Jesus died for me
19:32 I shall see the King someday
19:38 In the land of song
19:40 In the glory throng
19:43 Where there never comes a night
19:47 With the Lord once slain
19:50 I shall ever reign
19:52 In the glory land of light
19:57 In His glory
19:59 I shall see the King
20:02 And forever Endless praises sing
20:06 'Twas on Calvary
20:09 Jesus died for me
20:12 I shall see the King someday
20:18 You sing at home.
20:33 I'm gonna sing the chorus, Tim. Let's do it.
20:36 In His glory I shall see the King
20:40 And forever Endless praises sing
20:44 'Twas on Calvary
20:46 Jesus died for me
20:50 I shall see the King someday
21:01 Yeah, that's good. That's encouraging.
21:03 Is it, truly?
21:04 I mean, you know, when you think about
21:06 the toughness of life, that word tough is just so,
21:09 you know, tough means.
21:10 I was on my way to the office and I fell and tore my pants,
21:13 the knees in my pants.
21:15 I remember being one of these meetings we had,
21:17 I forgot where it was.
21:18 We have so many meetings with the church.
21:20 And I received a new suit that a tailor in California
21:26 who had done a program here.
21:27 He said, "I'm gonna make you some suits."
21:28 He said, "I like the way you wear your suit."
21:30 So he made a suit for me.
21:32 And I think I was at an ASI Convention.
21:35 And I wore that, so I was so excited.
21:39 I told him, "I'm gonna wear it this weekend.
21:40 Thank you for making it for me."
21:42 And I was walking down on an escalator
21:43 and somebody called me and said,
21:45 "Hey, I need you right now." So...
21:48 Don't try this at home.
21:50 I ran up a down escalator.
21:54 I tripped and I tore the knee in that new suit
21:59 that he just made for me and I only wore once.
22:03 And so I think the Lord that in heaven,
22:07 we're gonna be wearing new garments.
22:10 And I would say they are non-tearable
22:12 because they are made right by the righteousness of Jesus.
22:15 Amen. So we sometimes have to unplug.
22:17 And this song was encouraging.
22:18 I shall see the King someday.
22:20 No more tripping, no more falling,
22:21 no more escalators.
22:23 Right.
22:25 Well, you talk about a diversion.
22:27 I didn't even know where you were going with that.
22:29 I mean that... So yes, I love how you...
22:32 You know what? We were talking off set about
22:35 how we enjoy each other's gifts,
22:37 appreciate each other.
22:40 And that's why I have you on here
22:41 because I'm not good at talking.
22:43 I just like to play and so.
22:45 But I know when I get to heaven,
22:47 I'm going to talk like you do,
22:49 okay, accent and everything, okay?
22:50 Okay.
22:52 And I'm hoping if there are any pianos in heaven,
22:55 Lord, please give me the gift of playing piano.
22:57 But I'll be content with just being there.
22:58 Okay.
22:59 I thought you're saying,
23:01 you'd be content just to play like me.
23:02 Oh, no.
23:04 I'd be content just to be there.
23:05 Just a little bit like me. No, I'm just joking.
23:06 That's right. You're good. No.
23:08 So speaking of seeing the King, here's a song that I grew up.
23:11 Okay.
23:12 It's called, "We shall see the King."
23:14 Yeah, we shall say the King.
23:16 So it goes like this.
23:23 There's a blessed time
23:24 That's coming, coming soon
23:27 It may be evening
23:29 Morning or at noon
23:32 The wedding of the bride
23:35 United with the groom
23:38 We shall see the King
23:40 When He comes
23:43 We shall see the King
23:45 We shall see the King
23:48 We shall see the King
23:49 When He comes
23:52 He is coming in power
23:55 We'll hail the blessed hour
23:57 We shall see the King
23:59 When He comes
24:01 Are you ready
24:03 Should the Savior call today
24:06 Would Jesus say
24:08 "Well done" or "Go away"
24:11 "My home is for the pure
24:14 The vile can never stay"
24:16 Oh, we shall see the King
24:19 When He comes Sing it, Tim.
24:22 We shall see the King
24:24 We shall see the King
24:26 We shall see the King
24:28 When He comes
24:31 He is coming in power
24:33 We'll hail the blessed hour
24:36 We shall see the King
24:38 When He comes
24:40 Oh, my brother
24:42 Are you ready for the call
24:45 To crown your Savior King
24:48 And Lord of all
24:50 The kingdoms of this world
24:53 Shall soon before Him fall
24:55 Oh, we shall see the King
24:58 When He comes
25:00 We shall see the King
25:03 We shall see the King
25:05 We shall see the King
25:07 When He comes
25:10 He is coming in power
25:12 We'll hail the blessed hour
25:15 Oh, we shall see the King
25:17 When He comes
25:20 We shall see the King
25:23 When He comes
25:28 Wow, wow! It's a fun song.
25:30 That sounds like it's not just in your fingers,
25:32 it's in your being.
25:34 Absolutely, right. You grew up with that song.
25:35 Yeah, yeah, I did.
25:37 And we were excited
25:38 when we sang it and looking forward to it.
25:40 And you know that was well, almost 50 years ago though,
25:45 when we would sing that.
25:47 And you know we've been looking
25:48 for His appearing and He is coming.
25:50 That's right. There's no denying.
25:53 And so in fact there's a song that says.
25:56 The King is coming
26:00 The King is coming
26:04 I just heard
26:06 The trumpets sounding
26:09 And now His face I see
26:14 The King is coming
26:19 The King is coming
26:23 Praise God
26:25 He's coming for me
26:33 Praise God
26:35 He's coming
26:38 For me
26:42 And if you know Him as your Savior,
26:44 then that day is...
26:47 It can't come soon enough.
26:49 So I encourage you to get ready and keep singing.
26:54 And in fact, join us again when we sing.
26:56 All right? Come on back.
27:06 Send me your song
