07:25 You know, 07:26 you may be going through something 07:28 that you've never gone through before 07:31 and you're having to learn to depend on Him. 07:35 There's a song that we used to sing. 07:37 There are a lot of songs that are popular 07:40 because of their chorus. 07:41 And maybe that's the only part 07:43 that really anyone knows is the chorus. 07:46 But this request was sent in, it's called Got Any Rivers. 07:51 That's the name of the song. 07:52 And I remember singing this chorus in church 07:54 when I was a kid. 07:57 And it says, 07:58 Got any rivers you think are uncrossable? 08:00 Got any mountains you can't tunnel through? 08:03 God specializes in things thought impossible 08:07 and He can do what no other power can do. 08:12 And as I was preparing for this program, 08:14 I actually found this song in a hymnal 08:19 and didn't realize that it had verses, 08:21 but they're wonderful verses 08:22 and I just want to quote them to you, 08:26 read them, I guess to you. 08:27 It's about the story of Joshua. 08:30 I never knew that this had verses, but it says, 08:33 "Be of good courage God spoken unto Joshua. 08:36 When o'er the river God pointed the way. 08:40 Jordan uncrossable, things seemed impossible. 08:44 Waters divide as the march and obey." 08:48 In the second verse, 08:50 "Battles to win, 08:51 they would meet with their obstacles. 08:54 Jericho's walls, too, 08:56 must fall to the ground. 08:59 God never failed. 09:00 He stood back of his promises. 09:03 Walls had to crumble as they marched around." 09:07 That's good. 09:09 It's a great telling of that story of Joshua. 09:11 And then the third verse, 09:12 last verse relates to me and you. 09:15 "God is the same and His Word is dependable. 09:19 He'll make a way through the waters for you. 09:22 Life's situations by Him are amendable. 09:27 Mountains and hills He will part for you too." 09:34 And this is the chorus. 09:37 Got any rivers you think are uncrossable? 09:47 Got any mountains, you cannot tunnel through? 09:56 God specializes in things thought impossible 10:07 And He can do what no other power can do 10:18 Sing that chorus again. 10:19 Got any rivers you think are uncrossable? 10:30 Got any mountains, 10:34 you can't tunnel through? 10:40 God specializes in things thought impossible 10:50 And He can do what no other power can do 11:06 So whatever you're going through, 11:08 this song will be of encouragement. 11:11 You may feel down and feel like God 11:16 Has somehow forgotten 11:21 That you are faced with circumstances 11:26 You can't get through 11:31 But now it seems that there's no way out 11:36 And you're going under 11:41 God's proven time and time again 11:46 He'll take care of you 11:51 And He'll do it again for you 11:56 He'll do it again 12:02 Just take a look at where you Are now 12:06 and where you have been 12:11 Hasn't He always come through for you 12:17 He's the same now as then 12:22 You may not know how 12:24 You may not know when 12:27 But He'll do it again 12:33 God knows the things 12:35 that you're going through 12:37 And He knows how you're hurting 12:42 You see, 12:44 He knows just how your heart 12:47 Has been broken in two 12:52 But He's the God of the stars, of the sun 12:58 And He is your Father You see, 13:03 He can calm the storm And He can fix it for you 13:12 He'll do it again for you 13:17 He'll do it again 13:23 Just take a look at where you Are now 13:28 and where you have been 13:32 Hasn't He always come through 13:36 for you He's the same now as then 13:43 You may not know how You may not know when 13:48 But He'll do it again 13:52 You may not know how 13:55 You may not know when 13:58 But He'll do it again 14:05 If you're leaning on Him, if you're trusting in Him, 14:09 any river that you think is uncrossable, 14:14 He'll make it crossable and He'll see you through. 14:16 Come back and sing with us again 14:18 after this message. |
